Anna Teale Obituary

Anna "Ann" L. Teale (Ramsey) died peacefully in the early morning hours of April 26, 2021. She was born on March 28, 1933 in Savannah, Missouri, to John and Molly Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jerry L. Teale. Ann spent her early years on a farm during the depression. This experience shaped her into a strong woman. Ann embraced military life and the communities that were fostered in base housing. She traveled to Europe with two young children to join Jerry and lived in Germany and explored many European countries. She moved to Albuquerque in 1961; it was Jerry's last duty station and they retired here. She loved the life of being a mother and raising her children while working in retail and insurance. Ann graduated from Savannah High School and attended the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute, receiving a certificate in Bookkeeping in December of 1978. She worked as an employee in a local CPA firm, a poll worker and volunteer tax preparer in her later years. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, quilting and needlepoint, leaving many finished works for her children and grandchildren. Ann was active in many churches throughout her life. Her last home church was the First Presbyterian Church of Belen. She served on the board and in various other capacities in the church for many years. Her faith was a very important part of her life. Ann is survived by her brother, Roger Ramsey (Ann), her children, Johnny L. Teale (Chris), Cindy K. Harris (Jack), and Ramona K. Gallegos; grandchildren, Rikki Bellinger (Steve), John Bradley Teale (Vi), Jennifer Cox (Jason) and Jackson Harris; great grandchildren Marvin, Cora and Lucy Bellinger and Ava Cyan Cox; and friends Keith and Sharon Fleenor. Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Nana, and will be greatly missed by her family.
