Anthony Vargas Obituary
Anthony T. Vargas, age 62 and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 5, 2026.
A devout Catholic, Anthony lived his life to the fullest, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Charismatic by nature, his charm was something he accomplished without ever trying, making friends wherever he went. He was a dedicated hard worker and a true perfectionist in every endeavor—especially in his tile work and when working on cars. He enjoyed listening to ZZ Top and Northern New Mexico music, and he took immense pride in always doing the absolute best job possible.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Felix Vargas; his mother, Eduvigen Vargas; and his brothers, Timothy (Tim) Vargas and David Vargas.
He is survived by his brother, Leroy Vargas; and his sisters, Kathy Ortiz, Debbie Martinez, and Felicia Vargas-Sabaugh (Don).
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Anthony's special friends and second family: Debbie Lozano, Charlie Sandoval, Matthew Cordova, Daniel Cordova, Darrell, Darren Cordova, Darla Cordova, and Joe & Margie Cordova, for loving him as deeply as they did. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
