Arthur Ulivarri Obituary
Arthur Martin Ulivarrí, age 72, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away December 27, 2025.
Arthur is survived by his children, Roberto "Berto" Garley, Jenny Arlene "Petunia" Padilla, & Lisa Ulivarrí: grandchildren, Raven & Trent Padilla, & Alohna Lotus Ulivarri; brothers, Danny, Joe Leo, & Rafael (Carmen) Ulivarrí: sisters, Dolores (Orlando) Gutierrez, Theresa (William) Berni, Paula (Anthony) Gabaldón, Sharon (Vincent) Olguin: and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to cousins Raymond & Angela Trujillo who checked on him, brought him food & wood for his wood stove. Also, a special thanks to his friend Jesus "Chewy" Sedillos whom he met ten years ago. They went fishing together, to McDonald's for coffee, & to the Senior Citizens Center. Chewy also checked on Arthur, brought him home cooked meals, & took him to doctor's appointments.
He is preceded in death by his parents Narciso & Nora Ulivarrí, brothers, David Lorenzo "Brother" Uivarrí, Eugene "Gino" Ulivarrí, Narciso "Tico" Ulivarrí, Jr., Michael Ulivarrí, Norbert Ulivarrí, & sister Martha Barbara Ulivarrí Dent: Nephews, Antonio Lorenzo "Tony" Ulivarrí, Timothy Orlando Gutierrez, & Antonio Vicente Gutierrez: Nieces, Virginia Leonore Gutierrez & Anjeanette Marie Olguin Schmelz.
Arthur was a strong, hardworking man. He joined the Marines as a young man. He spent time in the Philippines & several other bases in the United States. When he was discharged, he returned to Belen and started a painting business. He was well known & respected, in the area, for the quality of his work.
Services for Arthur will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel. A visitation will take place at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.
