Bertha (Gonzales) Schenck

Bertha 'Bert' Gonzales Schenck passed away on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. In her early career, Bert worked for the state of New Mexico at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School as a supervisor and beauty operator for 14 years. For 22 years, Bert was employed by Albuquerque Public Schools as a bilingual teacher's assistant. Bert is survived by, and will forever be in the hearts of her husband, Jerry, children: Marcos, Vicente, and Maria Elaine, and her husband, Austin; grandchildren: Vincent Leroy, Aragon, and Wilder, sister Roslyn Cordova and her husband Mike, brother Joe Gonzales and his wife Nancy, and many lovely nieces and nephews. To celebrate and remember Bert, an intimate service will be held at Noblin Funeral Home, located at 2211 Main Street SE, from 6 to 7:30. Although there will be no reception after the service, we welcome friends and family to join us for the service to share their sweet memories of the beautiful Bert Schenck.
