Carlos Duran Obituary

A resident of Los Lunas, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2022. He was a 2000 Belen High School Graduate.
Whether you knew him as Carlos, Carlitos, Carluche, son, brother, nephew, or uncle, we will always remember his hardworking ethics, his practical jokes, his kind, caring, and loving personality. Mostly he will be remembered for his charming smile and his unforgettable laughter. He loved to make people laugh. He would give you the shirt off his back or the shoes of his feet. We know this because we saw him do this on several occasions. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father Paul (Dina) Duran, mother Evelyn Do Black, His daughter Kayliegh Moya and granddaughter Marina Moya, brother, Patrick (Inez) Duran, sisters Crystal (Jose) Gonzales and Ava Duran, Grandmother Onessia Nick Bahr, nieces and nephews, Brandon, and Jeremiah Duran, Ashley Do Black, Victoria, Rodrigo, Adriana and Ignacio Gonzales, great niece, Amaia Gonzales. Aunts & Uncles; Lily (Orlando) Jaramillo, Jeannie (Mike) Garcia, Regina Duran, Yolanda (Robert) Garcia, Kathy Casillas, Linda Duran, Rose Mary (James) Sandoval, Betty (Leonard) Perea, Balla Sobocienski, Nick Nick, and several cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cipriano and Triny Duran; Uncles Jerry (Anita) (Marvine) Duran, Gilfred Duran and Carlos Casillas, cousins Steven & Paul Jaramillo, Robert (Robbie) Garcia, Jerry (JJ) Duran and Ben Milton Sr.
Our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude goes out to Kathy Jaramillo Moya, Leona Otero Herrell, and Rebecca Otero Granger. They walked into Carlos' life and said "I'm here for you." and they proved it. We are forever thankful for the kindness, unconditional love, respect and friendship that you gave Carlos. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the many families and friends for the tremendous support, prayers, food, cards and phone calls. We appreciate you all beyond words. It is great to see what an amazing impact Carlos had on so many people. May God Bless you all.

A graveside services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2022 Terrace Grove Cemetery. Time TBA .
