Carol Jean Vance Glover, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a loving mother,
grandmother, sister and aunt, 77 years old, passed away from this life suddenly on June 11, 2025.
Carol Jean was born in Lincoln, NE on February 11, 1948, to Joe Lyle and Edna Earl Vance, and
moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1956. She graduated from Highland High School in
1966, and earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 1969. Carol
Jean worked for General Electric Aviation for over 30 years, and retired in 2008. Carol Jean
enjoyed many hobbies. She had been an active member of Central United Methodist Church and
the United Women in Faith where many of her projects were donated. Family meant everything
to Carol Jean, and she is survived by her daughters, Laura and Cari, and their spouses. Carol
Jean is also survived by four grandchildren, whom she loved very much: Rudy, Alexandria,
Kenneth, and Sage. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Vance-Lueck (Stan), and Linda
Wambold; her brother-in-law, Kyle Nye; her nieces and nephews; as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kenneth Vance, and her sister, Betty Jo
Nye. A Memorial Service was previously held to celebrate Carol Jean's life at Central United
Methodist Church in Albuquerque. For those who wish to honor Carol Jean's memory,
