Dale Grant Pipher

1923-2022
Dale Pipher, 98 of Rio Communities NM passes away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at home surrounded by his children. He was born, raised and educated in Champaign, IL. He married Helen Guinn in 1943 and moved to Albuquerque in 1949. Dale retired from Sandia National Labs after 35 years of service. He became a member of the Mosonic Order in 1954. In 1959 he joined the York Rite Bodies and Ballut Abyad Shrine. Dale is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen; sisters, Helen Wallen and Dorothy Zihal; sons-in-law, Rick Dayand Louis Curcione; and grandsons, Douglas Day and Richard Day. He leaves a son Jerry of Rio Communities; daughter, Janet Curcione of Lewiston, NY and Connie Day of Payson, AZ; a brother, Don (Sandy) and brother-in-law, Mike Zihal; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Ballut Abyad Shrine Center, 6600 Zuni S.E., Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Shriners for Children southern California, 909 S. Fairoaks Ave. Pasadena, CA 91105, or charity of your choice.
