Darrell Dee Kinsley, 78, of Belen, NM, passed at his home on March 9, 2026, after his valiant fight against ALS. He was with his wife, Mickie Kinsley, his brother, Richard Kinsley and close friends.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Michelle Dee Kinsley (Chilson); oldest daughter, DeeDee, her husband Kevin, their children Patrick, Maria, and Christopher; youngest daughter, Temple, her husband. Scott Mitchell, their children Aubri and Justin; Darrell's older brother Richard Kinsley; nephew. Ken Kinsley; and a large extended family of sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, neices and nephews.
Darrell was born to Lloyd E. A. Kinsley and Lola V. Kinsley (Smith), in Nebraska. Both his parents preceded him in death. The family later moved to. California, where Darrell met and married his eternal companion, his loving wife, Mickie.
Darrell was an electrician by trade. He also honorably served in the the US ARMY, and the US Army Reserve for over 22 years, including multiple tours overseas. He enjoyed working with youth, being outdoors, hiking, hunting, model railroading, and working and flying model airplanes.
Darrel is deeply loved and he will be greatly missed.
Services for Darrell will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Belen, NM. A visitation will take place at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. Darrell will then be laid to rest at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen immediately following services.
