Edward Garcia, age 65, of Socorro, New Mexico, peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on March 2, 2025. Edward was born in Tucson, Arizona to Candido Jr, and May Esther Garcia.
He is preceded in passing by his mother, May Esther Garcia; brothers, Fred Garcia and Candido Garcia III.
He is survived by his father, Candido Garcia Jr; mother, Theresa Garcia; loving wife, Helen Garcia; daughters, Chasity Marquez, Amber Garcia, and Elaine Gonzales; sons, Brandon Garcia, and Carlos Valenzuela; brother, Donald (Dorthy) Garcia; grandchildren, Braxton, Jaxon, Kason, Isaiah, Xavier, Amari, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Mathew, Jordan, and Arianna.
Edward was a family man who cherished time with the ones who he loved the most. He was happy to live a slower pace with them after working and retiring from underground mining for 32 years. He enjoyed golfing and riding his Harley. He was a devoted Catholic, that was lead by his faith.
Services for Edward will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at San Miguel Church in Socorro, NM. A visitation will take place at 9:00 am, followed by the rosary at 9:30 am. Mass will be recited at 10:00 am. Edward will then be laid to rest at the San Miguel Cemetery at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Garcia, Carlos Valenzuela, Carl Lukesh, David Robinson, Joe Valenzuela, and Juvencio Quijada.
Honorary pallbearers are Mathew Lopez, Jordan Gonzales, Carl Lukesh Jr, Anthony Lukesh, Braxton Garcia, Jaxon Garcia, Kason Garcia, Juvencio Quijada Jr, Xavier Quijada, and Jayden Quijada.
