Elizabeth Ann (Rael) Villalovos

Elizabeth Ann (Rael) Villalovos, 46, of Los Lunas went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 13, 2023. She was eager and excited to marry her fiancé Chris Griego in November of this year.

Elizabeth (Wiz) was born on July 28, 1977 to Benny and Melba Rael in Belen, NM, the youngest of five children. She was raised in a very close and loving family. Growing up and throughout her teenage life, she was very social and active, she played baseball, softball and volleyball. After graduating from Los Lunas High School in 1995, she went on to become a medical assistant and then graduated from the University of New Mexico, becoming a Registered Nurse. Her passion for helping others also led her to explore different fields in healthcare, including OMI, and teaching nursing courses at the University of New Mexico. Although she loved her career, she happily retired early to take care of those closest to her; her mom and dad.

Elizabeth had the brightest smile and the loudest laugh in the room. She had many talents, some of her favorite hobbies included crafting and gifting to those she loved. You would never leave her home empty handed. She loved to make everybody look their best for every special occasion. Whether it was proms, graduations, or doing her nieces and sisters hair for their weddings. She uplifted spirits with her kind words, faith in Christ, and close personal bonds she made with each and every one of us. Although she was the youngest of her siblings, she was the leader of the pack.

Her life changed forever on July 13, 2001, when she was blessed with her son Kevin, whom was her pride and joy. Kevin was her sunrise, sunset, and her greatest accomplishment in life. Wiz said it best when it came to her baby. "Happy 22nd birthday son! Not only are you my favorite person in the whole world, you are my rock, my love, and my peace. God blessed me beyond words can say..always be yourself and don't ever change who you are. You are the most loving person."

Elizabeth was preceded by her father Benny Rael. She is survived by her son Kevin Villalovos, her fiancé Chris Griego, her mother Melba Rael, as well as her siblings; sister Brenda Rael and her significant other Joey Alejandro, sister Catherine Otero, her brother Phillip Rael and his wife Jamie, sister Elona and her husband Eddie Trujillo, her first cousin Jennifer Lopez whom she also considered a sister, many many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, cousins, aunties, uncles, friends, colleagues and people of the community.
