Ernest Rubi, born to Jose Manuel and Pricilla Rubi on April 29, 1954 in Mountainair, New Mexico, passed away on June 23, 2022. Ernest is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Alarado; and brother, Clarence Rubi. Ernest is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy (Rubi) Saiz; his four children, Yolanda Greene and husband Travis; Ernest Jr; Juan; Maria and her boyfriend Pancho; four grandchildren, Draven, Kazyen, Westyen, and Lanah as well as great-grandson, Zaidyen. He is also survived by his sister, Lina Robles and husband Frank; Raymond Rubi; Chris Rubi and wife Denise. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Ernest retired after serving 38 years with BNSF Railroad. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountianair and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed coaching little league, playing basketball with his kids and grandkids, and of course going to every yard sale he could find. Ernesst was most proud of his grandkids. He would attend each and every event that they were participating in. He was their number 1 fan! Ernest was a long time Mustangs Fan and would attend every sporting event; not only to support his grandkids, but for all the children. GO MUSTANGS! There was never a time that Ernest wasn't giving a helping hand to whoever he met. It didn't matter when or where; he was always there! Funeral Services for Ernest are currently pending. Ernest will be laid to rest at the Punta De Agua Cemetery in Mountainair, New Mexico.
