Eurcinia Armijo, age 80, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on, Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Eurcinia was a military wife who got the chance to travel to Germany, Panama, and many places throughout the United States. She taught herself to sew and ended turning it into a living, she became known as "The Seamstress of Belen". Eurcinia loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for them, they all loved her famous tamales and sweet rice. During the holidays her tamales, posole, and menudo were beyond compare. Eurcinia also enjoyed dancing at the Caravan, her favorite music was Country, Jazz, and The Blues. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Maximiliano Armijo Jr., of 25 years; parents, Proceso Lucero and Maria Rita Perea-Lucero; ; sons, Ronnie and Stevie Armijo; brothers, Quirino and Michael Lucero; and sister, Stella Gonzales. Eurcinia is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Kathy) Torres-Adelino; sons, Michael Armijo and wife, Sheena (Belen), Mario Armijo and wife, Theresa (Belen); sisters, Dolores (Loli) Gonzales, Flora Eylicio, Mary Ann Jaramillo; brother, Manuel Lucero; grandchildren, Jonathan Armijo, Justine Torres, Steven Armijo, Stephanie and husband, Gabe Armijo, Michael Armijo Jr. and wife, Jaslynn, Mario Jr., and Amanda and Emily Armijo; great-grandchildren, Marianna, Gabriel, Karl, Mathais, Noah, and Myla Armijo; Goddaughter, Patty Garcia; and Godson, Tony Recio. Pallbearers are Alan Gonzales, Mark Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, Michael Armijo Jr., Gabe Armijo, and Adrian Tesillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Bobby Armijo, Jonathan Armijo, Manuel Lucero, Steven Armijo, and Mario Armijo Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel on, Monday, December 6, 2021. A Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to begin at 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Final Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. On Tuesday, December 7, 2021 her Rosary, Funeral Mass, and Burial will all be streamed on Facebook Public Page under The Funeral of Eurcinia Armijo. Also on Thursday, December 9, 2021 an article "The Seamstress of Belen" will be published in The News Bulletin in remembrance of our dearly missed seamstress.
