Frances Huebner, age 96, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026.
Frances was born on May 11, 1930, in Rye, Colorado, to Lester and Maymie Welborn. Throughout her 96 years, she built a beautiful legacy through her family and the many generations who followed her.
Frances was a devoted and loving mother to her children: John Hudson of Aztec, New Mexico; Georgia Orum (David) of Elephant Butte, New Mexico; Patricia Greenwood (Raymond) of Socorro, New Mexico; Ellen Koolstra (John) of Covington, Tennessee; Rodney Hudson (Suzanne) of Midwest, Wyoming; and Ronald Hudson (Pamela) of Durant, Oklahoma.
Her greatest legacy was her family. Frances was a proud grandmother of 25 grandchildren, a great-grandmother of 42 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother of 39 great-great-grandchildren. The love she gave to her family will continue through each generation she leaves behind.
She is also survived by five siblings: Floy Hudson of Pueblo, Colorado; Gracie Sharp of Pueblo, Colorado; Lester Welborn (Carol) of Tucson, Arizona; Kathy Barnes (Bill) of Pueblo, Colorado; and Cellie Cuppy (Robert) of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Maymie Welborn; her spouses, Walter Hudson and Fred Huebner; her daughter, Dorthy Jean Hudson; her daughter-in-law, Donna Hudson; her granddaughter, April "Tootie" Pickett; her grandson, Russell Hudson; her great-grandson, Davonta Jackson; and her great-great-grandson, Cash Houston.
Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, Frances leaves behind a remarkable family legacy spanning generations. She will be remembered with love and cherished in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, siblings, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services for Frances will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel. A visitation will take place at 10:30 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl Hudson, Curtis Greenwood, Kenneth Greenwood, Robert Koolstra, Justin Payne, DJ Armijo, Josh Wright, Kalob Wright, Darrian Greenwood, Damian Greenwood, Tyler Hudson, and Kia Hudson.
