It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Victor Quintana, Jr., who departed this life on September 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
Frank was a man of quiet strength and a gentle spirit, whose life spoke more through actions than words. He was a tireless worker, approaching every task with dedication and care. Though reserved by nature, Frank carried a deep warmth that was felt by all who were fortunate to know him. He proudly served in the Armed Forces and later retired from the City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department. Following that, he devoted 25 years as a crossing guard with Los Lunas Schools, where he faithfully ensured the safety of countless children.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Dunsavage, and by his parents, Francisco Quintana, Sr. and Eugenia Romero-Quintana and his little brother Luis Quintana. Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Quintana Jr.; His stepmother Gloria Quintana Sr. his sister Lindie Trujillo, his Aunt Virginia Romero Ortiz, his daughters, Rebecca Martinez and family, Victoria Quintana and family, and Yvonne Vicencio and family, daughter in-law Sandra Dunsavage and Family. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy. Frank's final resting place will be in Tucumcari, New Mexico, the town where he was born and raised.
