Gerald Glenn Marquez, Jr.

Gerald Glenn Marquez Jr, age 39, a resident of Los Chavez was called home on Saturday, May 9th 2026.

Jr enjoyed working with his hands, he worked with Prosteel building metal structures. He enjoyed fishing with his niece and nephew, Myla and Mateo, he loved being outdoors. He enjoyed going to church every Sunday with his nieces, Myla and Dharma. He loved going to Walmart every Tuesday with his niece, Myla and just walking around. He loved hanging out with his friend, Karen.

Jr is proceeded in death by his brother Jason Marquez, his nana's Eva Hirschfeld and Carmen Marquez, his uncles Jacob Hirschfeld, Rodney Hirschfeld, Randy Silva and James Sanchez. Jr was born to Glenn and Sophia Marquez on December 18th 1986.

Jr is survived by his mother and father, Sophia and Glenn Marquez, his daughter, Sierra and grandson, Alexander. His siblings, Marie, Kevin and wife, Marissa, Geraldine, Angela, Joseph, Adam, Eric and wife Mariana. His nieces Mona, Mareena, Myla, Dharma, Stella and Luzelena; and his nephews Mateo, Jerald, Asiah, and Kevin, and many more nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Services for Gerald will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church in Belen, NM. A visitation will be held at 9:00 am, followed by a rosary at 9:30 am. Mass will be recited at 10:00 am. Gerald will be laid to rest immediately following the mass at the Tome Cemetery in Tome, NM.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Giron, Eric Chavez, Mateo Marquez, Adam Sanchez, Keith Hirschfeld, and Chris Zamora. Honorary pallbearers are niece Myla and his friend Karen.
