Gloria Alexander Obituary
Gloria Ann Alexander, a beautiful and charming wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her entered eternal life on December 14, 2024, at the Age of 99 in the company of her family. Gloria is survived by her children Mark and Susan Alexander, Kathleen Robinson, Novanna and Dean Barrett, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale. They shared 73 wonderful years together, before he went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 15, 2024.
Gloria was born in Viking, Minn. On September 30, 1925 to Axel and Anna Jacobson. After graduation Gloria moved to New Mexico to attend training for employment at Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe railroad. This is where she met her soul mate, Dale, who was the Wire Chief. She finished her career there as a Train Order Operator after serving 43 years with the company.
They were both dedicated Christians and longtime members of The First Presbyterian Church of Belen. Gloria's favorite past times were spending time with her family, singing in the church choir, boating, and waterskiing. She also enjoyed motorcycle riding and square dancing with Dale and volunteering at the thrift center with her long time friend, Lillian.
Gloria was so loving and caring, that when you met her, she was your friend for life. Everyone that met her loved her.
We love you, MOM. You are in our hearts forever.
Services will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Belen, 85 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities, NM, on April 4,2025 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the church.
