On Monday, February 23, 2026, Hunter Lee DeMasters-Castaldi, lovingly known as "Hunter-Bunter," of Belen, New Mexico, was taken from us at the young age of 20.
Hunter was born on November 10, 2005, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From the time he was a little boy, he found joy in fishing, spending time in the mountains, and being outdoors. He loved nature and dreamed of living the life of a true mountain man. Hunter embraced life with a free spirit and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Hunter was a passionate car enthusiast and enjoyed motorsports. He took pride in everything automotive and was a dedicated member of a car club, where he found friendship, community, and joy sharing his passion. Whether in the mountains or under the hood of a car or the freedom of the open road. Hunter was happiest pursuing what he loved.
Hunter was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bruce Vestal; his great-grandparents, Joe and Kathryn DeMasters; and his grandfather, Ronald J. DeMasters of Belen.
