Ida Ophelia Madrid

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Ida Madrid, who left us on 10/9/2025. Ida was a deacon of kindness, strength and always put others before herself. She was a devoted sister & friend. Her passions included baking, walking, track and field, western dancing, and an avid reader. She will be remembered for her seriousness and other attributes such as honesty, resilience, diligence, reliability and privacy. She navigated difficult situations throughout her life and achieved personal and professional goals. Ida graduated in 1973, was a proud member of the National Honor Society and continued on to be a Supervisor with the Albuquerque Police Department (APD).
She is survived by her sister Anita M. Williams, her aunts and a host of family members and friends.
