Irene (Sanchez) Sanchez

Irene Sanchez went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2026 at the age of 66. Irene was born on January 27, 1960 in Los Angeles, California to Reynaldo and Maria Sanchez.

Irene is survived by her loving partner, Michael Cole, stepdaughter Angelina Gonzales and husband Johnny Gonzales Jr., 3 grandchildren, Johnny III, Sofia and Braelynn, brother Reynaldo Jr., and sisters Sarah and Teri along with many other friends and family members whom she touched along the way.

Through her faith, she found strength and peace, trusting that God takes care of all. We will forever cherish the moments we shared with her- the laughter, the tears, the stories, and the quiet conversations. Though her passing feels too soon to us, we trust that our Father's timing is always perfect. We take comfort in knowing she took her last breath with the Holy Father's Son by her side.

May Irene rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Services for Irene will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at San Miguel Church in Socorro, NM. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a rosary at 10:30 am. Mass will following the rosary. Irene will then be laid to rest at San Miguel Cemetery immediately following services. Pallbearers are Alex Szabo, Michael Hatch, Johnny Gonzales, Jr., Johnny Gonzales III, Sofia Gonzales, and Albert Gutierrez.
