Joann Janecka, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was 81 years old.

Joann was born on March 28, 1945, in Puxico, Missouri. Throughout her life, she created a loving family and leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerald Janecka; her daughter, Gail White, and her husband, Scott White; her son, Rick Janecka, and his family; her granddaughter, Janea Janecka; and her three great-grandchildren, Cutter, Luccesse, and Cash.

She is also survived by her sister, Barbie Fitts, and her husband, Lee Fitts; her brother, Tommy Glenn Thompson, and his wife, Claudia Thompson; her nephew, Mike Cascio and his family and her niece, Cindy Coffman; cousin Bea Bell Janecka and her family.
Joann will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, especially in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain forever.
