Joe Vallejos Obituary
Jose "Joe" S. Vallejos, 83, a longtime resident of Los Lunas passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. Joe was born in Belen (Casa Colorada) on July 24, 1938. He was the youngest of six children born to Leandro and Andrellita Saiz Vallejos. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Joe retired 30 years ago from The State of New Mexico Corrections Department as a prison guard. He enjoyed flea markets, looking for antiques, watching the Antique Road Show and the History Channel. While at Senior Living systems he enjoyed sitting outside the facility and watching traffic go by on Hwy 47.
Joe is survived by his son Joseph Vallejos, daughter-in-law Valerie Vallejos, granddaughters Ashley Vallejos and Yvette Vallejos, son Delbert Vallejos, Daughter-in-law Debbie Vallejos, grandson's RJ Vallejos, and Michael Vallejos (Significant other Sarah) and great grandson Michael Vallejos Jr. He is also, survived by his wife, other adult children and grandchildren.
Joseph and Valerie would like to express their deepest gratitude to his caregivers at Senior Living Systems where he lived for the past 9 years.
A rosary will be recited at Noblin Funeral Home in Los Lunas on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 4:00pm.
