John Michael Epler (May 3, 1967 - December 13, 2025), born in West Islip, New York, passed away surrounded by love. In 1969, he moved with his family to New Mexico, where he attended Del Norte High School and built a life rooted in family, faith, and service.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Epler, and his son, Brandon. He is survived by his mother, Dora Epler; his wife, Mica Epler; his sister, Anne; brother, Joey; his sons, C.J., Darren, Ted, Nick, and Shawn; and his grandchildren, Riley, Anna Leah, Anthony, Brooke, and Freya.
John was a skilled carpenter who proudly shared his trade with his sons. A man of strong Christian faith, he had a lifelong passion for music and motorcycles. He served nine years with The American Legion Family and American Legion Riders, including numerous Operation Wounded Warrior missions and leadership roles.
John will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful servant, and loyal friend.
A celebration of life, will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Lodge 1680, 19482 NM-314, Belen, NM 87002
