Johnny Carrillo Obituary

John Carrillo, a resident of Belen, NM, was called home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2026. A faithful believer in Jesus Christ, John lived his life with a heart devoted to God and a deep and abiding love for his family. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he has been received into the arms of Jesus and is at peace in His eternal presence.

John was a strong and resilient man who faced many obstacles throughout his life. Through every challenge and every battle, he remained steadfast in his faith. He overcame life's hardships not by his own strength alone, but through his unwavering trust in Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation that carried him, and it was through that faith that his true strength was revealed. John's life was a powerful testimony of perseverance, courage, and belief. He showed those around him what it means to endure and to keep the faith, no matter the circumstance.

John was an avid hunter who found peace in the outdoors, but his greatest joy was always his family. John was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and a caring brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and held each of them close to his heart. His love for God was evident in the way he loved his family; deeply, faithfully, and without condition.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Ortega; his parents, Mary Carrillo and Gonzalo Mendoza; and his mother and father-in-law, Leo and Veronica Blake, nephew John Blake, sister-in-law Geraldine Gallegos, and niece Dionne Hartnell.

John is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, John and his wife Nicole, Ashley and her husband Ralph, and his son Matthew and his wife Trinity; his grandchildren, Juan, Aislinn, Leah, and his great-grandson, Juan Jr. John leaves behind his brothers; Raymond, David, Manuel, Andrew, and Michael along with their wives, as well as his sisters in law, Wendy (Jesse), Sharon, and Carol (Rick); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and strength.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His life, his strength, and his faith will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ will live on forever in the hearts of his family.

The Carrillo family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care Center for your kindness and compassion given to our beloved father and husband. Thank you to all our family and friends for the love, support, and generosity you showed our family during this difficult time.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
