Jose Eluterio Griego

Jose Griego, age 78, a resident of Veguita, New Mexico, born October 24, 1946, in Las Nutrias, New Mexico, to Salomon and Eluticia Griego, passed away on July 18, 2025.

Jose is preceded in passing by his parents; brothers, Michael, Juan Dios, and Pablo Griego.

He is survived by his siblings, Salomon Griego Jr, George (Gloria) Griego, Annabelle (Andres) Benavidez; sister-in-law, Helen Griego; special cousins, Domingo and David Griego; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services for Jose will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at San Isidro Mission in Las Nutrias, NM. A visitation will take place at 10:00 am, followed by a rosary at 10:30 am. A mass will then follow at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place immediately following the services. Bearing the urn will be Jose's nephew, Dr. Mario Benavidez.
