Jose Francisco Rael

Jose Francisco Rael, 90 years old, of Los Angeles, CA. passed away on January 18, 2026, In East Los Angeles Doctor's Hospital. Frank was born on August 12, 1935, in Adelino, New Mexico to Anselmo and Petrita Rael.

He is survived by his spouse Lucy Rael, Children Josephine Rael, Virginia and Manuel Escanuela, Lorraine and Paul Flores, Manuel and Beverly Rael, Ruben Rael, Jose Francisco Jr. Rael and Glenda Morales. Helen Maes is the only surviving sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anselmo and Petrita Herrera. His son Ricky Jose Rael. And his grandson Ray Anselmo Rael. Siblings: Guadalupe, Juan, Laurencio, Nabor, Eloy, Sylvester and Anselmo Jr. Rael. Bessie Baca, Estella Ortega, Mary Ann Contreras, Nasaria , and Tina Romero

Frank worked as a foremen for Gens Plating for 26 years and for Quaker Plating as a truck driver for 20 years. Frank's was a dedicated Dodger's fan all his life. He enjoyed watching his Dodgers play. He also loved the Raiders and Ram's when they came to LA. The Lakers were is favorite basketball team. He also loved growing fruit trees. Who ever visited him, he would give them bags of fruits. He loved going to casino's to Laughlin and New Mexico and wherever he was at to visits casinos close by.

Services for Jose will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Friday, February 20, 2026. A visitation will take place at 9:00 am, followed by a rosary at 9:30 am. Mass will then be recited at 10:00 am. Jose will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
