Judy Clara (Bernal) Bernal

Judy Clara Bernal, 63, of Gallup, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Albuquerque.
Born on March 12, 1963, in Gallup, Judy was born of the Salt People Clan and born for the Red Running into Water People Clan.

A lifelong learner, she graduated with honors from CNM College, where she specialized in Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Tech studies.
Judy was known for her technical expertise and dedication to patient care. Her professional journey included work at Phillips Semiconductors in chip production, followed by a long career in healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist at Presbyterian Hospital. Most recently, she served the veteran community at the Murphy Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a MIT/RT Sleep Tech.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Clara J. Bernal and Jessie M. Bernal. She is survived by her aunts, Rosmary Yazzie-Tom, Carol Ann Yazzie, and Christine Charley; and her uncle, Joe Bernal. She will be deeply missed by her many family members and friends across Northern New Mexico, Albuquerque, and Gallup, New Mexico.

Pallbearers: Olea Galbreath, Sade Galbreath, Lawrence Galbreath, Cyruize Galbreath, Sarah Swayne, and Seth Fleetwood.
Honorable Pallbearers: Carlos Ojeda, Santos Ojeda, and Nadya Martinez.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Noblin Funeral Service, 418 Reinken Ave, Belen, NM, with Deacon Robert Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Gallup, NM, with Pastor Richard Malone officiating.
