Julius Jose Carlos Hernandez

Julius Jose Carlos Hernandez, 21, a beloved resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico, passed away on May 21, 2026. He was a proud member of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians; Julius was an exceptional soccer player who helped lead his teams to several championships. A team player to his core, he was always willing to jump in and help wherever he was needed.

Julius was a foodie and enjoyed being adventurous and trying new things, but nothing could beat his mother's cooking, and he would always choose her meals over anything else. Although he was a proud momma's boy, he had no shortage of love for his family and friends. He had strong convictions and always fought for what was right. Julius followed his passion for helping others and studied to become an EMT, he qualified for his certification just before his 20th birthday.

Julius will be remembered as a highly skilled gamer, a lover of animals, a hard worker, a supportive friend and brother, and a genuinely good person. His smile will live forever in our hearts.

He is survived by Pauline Canizales-Hernandez, mother; Jose Hernandez, father; Kiana Hernandez, sister; Neyah Hernandez, sister; Xander Hernandez, brother; Carlos Chavez, grandfather; Theresa Canizales-Chavez, grandmother; Manuel Hernandez, grandfather; Linda Hernandez, grandmother; his auntie Anna and uncle Jeff, his auntie Jody and uncle Tim, tio Brian and aunt Christie, tia Tina, tia Olivia and uncle Danny, and his many cousins.
