Kathy Anglin Obituary

In loving memory of a cherished woman, known affectionately to many as Kathy who graced this world with her presence on December 15, 1958, in the warm and welcoming town of Belen, New Mexico. Her journey here came to a peaceful close on April 28, 2026, as she was surrounded by the loving embrace of her family, a testament to the profound impact she had on all those who were fortunate to know her.

Kathy's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was the beloved daughter of Jones Louis "Sonny" and Betty Kite, who preceded her in passing, as did her devoted husband, Dennis Anglin, whom she married on a crisp winter day, January 22, 1976. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of their family.

She dedicated her professional life to the Town of Mountainair, where she served as Treasurer with integrity and a steadfast commitment until her well-deserved retirement. Her diligence and dedication were matched only by her warmth and compassion, qualities that left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the community she served. Kathy's passions were as vibrant and varied as her spirit. She found joy in the art of crocheting, piecing together puzzles with the same care and precision she applied to life, and indulging in the simple pleasure of a shopping trip. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were reflections of her creativity, patience, and zest for life. Above all, Kathy was an extraordinary mother and grandmother, a beacon of love and strength for her family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Betty and husband Phillip Nelson, Sarah Kayser, and Jaylene Lewark, all residing in Mountainair, NM. She was a cherished sister to Suzan and husband Greg Brazil, Lois and husband Joe Casey, Christi and husband Boyd Mims and brother in law Johnny Anglin. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and her love will continue to nurture her ten grandchildren: DeLila, Mary, Adrian and wife Chelsea, Halo, Maverick, Delanie, Nolan, Lilly, Ryder, and Mason. Her two great-grandchildren, Levi and Ashtyn, will carry forward the legacy of love and kindness she so generously shared.

Kathy's life was also enriched by the loving memories of her predeceased sister, Regina "Jeannie" Anglin, who now welcomes her home. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever be a guiding light, a reminder of the love that binds us all. Rest in peace, dear Kathy your journey on this earth may have ended, but your legacy of love endures, eternal and unbroken.
