Kenneth Anderson Obituary

Kenneth Richard Anderson, 77, passed away quietly this past Monday, February 24, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM. Kenny, as he was known to his friends and family, was the son of Billie Hise Anderson and Helen Ray Collom. Kenny graduated from Ellisville High School in 1965 where his stepfather Cecil "Boots" Jordan coached him in several sports. Kenny would go on from Ellisville High School to join the Air Force and be stationed at Kadena AFB in Okiniwa, Japan in 1968 and then on to Starkville, MS where he would graduate from Mississippi State University with a BA in Marketing in 1971.

He would later earn his MBA from William Carey College in May of 1991. Kenny enjoyed a long, successful career in sales, including starting a company in the late 1980's. Kenny enjoyed traveling and did so extensively throughout his life. He was a voracious Mississippi State Bulldogs fan, especially Bulldog Baseball and learned to tolerate the Texas Longhorns and eventually the Connecticut Huskies. If he wasn't an hour early, he considered himself late, regardless of the occasion. He also enjoyed woodworking, was a numismatist, ran a few marathons, enjoyed playing golf with his sons and loved going on cruises. He wasn't much of a fisherman and he was a terrible hunter, but it never stopped him from participating in either with his sons. Kenny was blessed with several pet dogs throughout his life, none more precious to him than Bandit.

Kenny leaves behind two sons Keith (Claudia) of Princeton, NJ and Michael (LiAnn) of Lake Forest, CA,
many grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, and his brother, Billy Lamar Anderson. He will be missed but never forgotten
