Leeroy Baca Obituary
Leeroy B. Baca Jr. (Banuelas), age 38, a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico, passed away on May 26, 2026. Leeroy loved life and never shied away from having a good time. He was always the funniest guy in the room but had the kindest heart. Thoughtful, caring, and full of love, he possessed a contagious laugh and was incredibly easy to befriend and love.
He was well-accomplished in his job in caregiving, a testament to his deeply compassionate nature. Outside of work, Leeroy loved working out, listening to rock music, and passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys. He had a great love for cars and loved driving his side-by-side—especially when riding alongside his dad and brother—and enjoyed climbing Tomé Hill.
Leeroy was preceded in death by his mother, Martina Pulido Baca, and his father, Leeroy Baca Sr. He is survived by his brother, Martin Baca, and his wife, Kassandra Baca; his nephews, Brayden Baca and Eli Baca; and his niece, Mylan Baca. He is also survived by his life partner, Maria Diaz, and her daughter, Marisol Diaz; as well as many dear friends, including Nando Najera, Taracina Morgan, Mathew Yguado, Jonathan Castillo, Bubba, and Santiago "Jimbo".
All services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 12 Thomas Rd., Los Lunas, NM. A public viewing from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM.
Services for Leeroy will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Los Lunas, NM. A visitation will take place at 2:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm.
The pallbearer honors will be carried out by Martin Baca, Nando Najera, Jonathan Castillo, Taracina Morgan, Joey Rocco, and Brayden Baca.
