Leo McKeever Obituary

Leo Mckeever, age 74, a resident of Albuquerque, NM.. passed away on January the 2, 2026. He was born to John and Lucille McKeever on February 17°, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jimmy, Mary, Carol, Althea, Marie and his twin Lucy. He is survived by his partner Daniela Blaese, his son David and his sister Terri. He was raised Catholic.
Leo was an IBEW member of LU#26 Washington. DC, from which he retired. He spent much of his clectrical career traveling the country, enjoying the benefits it brought such as playing tourist on time off and the comradery. He belonged to a few brotherhood clubs, which were a big part of his life as well. The last 15 years of his career were spent traveling with his partner, also an electrician, and their dog. They enjoyed roaming the beaches, redwoods, lakes, forests and mountains with one of their dogs.
Leo grew up on Chesapeake Bay where he partook in crabbing, sailing and other water activities.
His love of the water made him feel right at home in Santa Cruz. CA years later, and even later Boston,
MA
His mechanical abilities weren't limited to car engines, though he excelled at that and not always out of necessity. He was an endless source of knowledge on a wide range of things. Helping others was of great importance to him, as was his family. He was a genuine people person and a positive light in many lives. His sense of gratitude was immense, even in his final days. Leo is and will be forever loved and missed
