Leroy Carroll Taylor

Carroll (Stretch) Leroy Taylor, 71, of Bosque Farms, NM passed away peacefully after a brief two-and-a-half month battle with cancer Saturday morning July 2nd in the comfort of his own home with His wife Pearl at his side. Stretch was a devoted family man whose faith was stronger than any other. He loved to learn and was a life-long student, earning his Bachelor's Degree when he was just 71 years young.  He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Lila Taylor and great grandson John Edward McKinley. Stretch is survived by his sweetie of 47 years Pearl Taylor, whom he met in England while serving in the U.S. Air Force; son Laurence & Carrie Taylor; daughters Zena Belarde and Lenore & Cody Fastnacht; and son Yancy & Alice Taylor; as well as 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Dale & Ann Taylor, Marilyn Davis and Marsha & Jerry Urioste along with many nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Saturday July 23rd at 10:30am with a viewing from 9:30-10:15am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Los Lunas, NM.  Stretch will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Monday July 25th at 11:30am.
