Leslie Ann Benefield Known as "Hootie" age 42. A resident of Albuquerque, NM. Hootie passed away on March 29,2021. Leslie "Hootie" was a compassionate, kind, creative, caring, and very generous person. Hootie loved her children and family dearly and passionately. Hootie was an artist, a gardener and out fished the best. Hootie had a green thumb, Hootie was her mama's "Sticky little Hootie Owl" She was fiercely independent, determined, and stronger than most. She was an amazing friend, wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt.
She was there when you needed her and would give you the shirt off her back. Hootie was an avid reader. Hootie loved movies, making crafts, loved cats, she loved being outdoors and could grow anything from a pot of dirt. She loved a good adventure. Hootie has taken a piece of all of us that loved her with her, the world will never be the same. Hootie did it "Her Way"
She is survived by her husband Wayne Garcia; Her mother Mary Anne Benefield; Father Joe Benefield; Her children Samuel Benefield, Sierra and Tobie; Siblings Kelly, Jamie and wife Anette, Ryan and wife Melissa; Nieces Ashley, Tori, Eowyn; Nephew's Andrew, Matthew; Uncles Ken Taylor, Robert Benefield, Glen H Benefield; Aunts Kathy Taylor, Katy Benefield, Pam Marino and Margie Lewis.
