Linda Mucher Obituary

Linda Faye Mucher (née Sandoval)
Age 76
Resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico
Entered eternal life on July 27, 2026
Linda was a faithful member of San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas, where she
sang in the choir for many years until her health no longer allowed her to attend
regularly.
Her parish was more than a church—it was an extension of her family.
Linda loved deeply and gave generously. If someone was in need, she never hesitated
to share whatever she had, often insisting others be cared for before herself. She had a
joyful spirit, a kind heart, and a way of making people feel welcome. She especially
treasured time with her children and grandchildren, and nothing brought a bigger smile
to her face than hearing their laughter or sharing stories together.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She had a profound devotion to the
Blessed Virgin Mary and faithfully served in the Legion of Mary for many years. Her
quiet trust in God, even through life's greatest hardships, was an inspiration to everyone
who knew her.
As the wife of an Air Force serviceman for 21 years, Linda embraced the many moves
and changes that military life brought. With grace, resilience, and unwavering faith, she
created a loving home wherever the journey took her, ensuring her family always knew
they belonged together no matter the address.
Two and a half years ago, Linda endured the heartbreaking loss of her beloved
husband, Ron, whom she dearly missed every day. She is also preceded in death by
her parents, Jacob and Connie Sandoval; her sister, Bonnie Reed; and her grandson,
Jordan Mucher.
Linda is survived by her sisters, Vicki Jones and Paula (John) Acevedo; her sisters-in-
law, Bobbie Mucher and Sharon Smith; her children, Michael (Sheila) Mucher of
Albuquerque, NM, Sister Michele Mary, LSP, of Queens Village, NY, Leslie Mucher of
Belen, NM, and Jennifer (Matt) Shumway of Clayton, NC; her grandchildren, Michael
(Carrie) Pitts, Nicholas (Jamie) Pitts, Andrew Pitts, Corey (Brenda) Pitts, Sydney
Mucher, and Michaela Shumway; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-
grandchildren.
Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the hope that she is now
reunited with Ron and all those who have gone before her, resting in the loving
presence of the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life.
