Lorenzo Montoya Pino

Lorenzo "Vito" Montoya Pino passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 76; he was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, cherished friend, and pillar of his community. Lorenzo was born in Silver City, New Mexico on February 26, 1950, to Cristobal and Rosita Pino and was the youngest of 12 children.

His family, especially his many nieces and nephews, will remember his warmth, generous heart, kindness, storytelling, and sense of adventure. Lorenzo was an avid sports fan who always enjoyed a good game. He was always a free spirit who loved to travel (especially by train), which was in his blood and a deep passion of his. He would travel to visit with all his family even distant relatives. He enjoyed his retirement and lived life with gusto.

He is survived by his loving sister, Mercedes Patterson, his brothers, Jake Pino and Mike Pino, his children, Melanie Pino and Matthew Pino, and his many nieces and nephews.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by his father Cristobal, mother Rosita, and brothers Pedro, Chris, Bill, and Leo.

Services for Lorenzo are as follows. Funeral Mass June 26, 2026, 8:00 am Visitation, 8:30 am Rosary, and 9:00 am Mass at Holy Family Church in Albuquerque, NM. Memorial Mass July 10, 2026, 9:00 am Visitation, 10:00 am Rosary, and 10:30 am Mass at Our Lady of Belen Church in Belen, NM with burial to follow at the Bosque Cemetery.
