Maria T Rivera

Maria, T, Rivera age, 72, a resident of Los Lunas. New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2022. She was a member of Saint Vincent Church of Silver City as well as a member of San Clemente Parish of Los Lunas. Born to Alvaro and Carlota Rivera on August 15, 1949, In Silver City, New Mexico. Maria was beautiful and caring to all; she had the brightest golden heart. She would always put you first before herself. She was always the life of the party, and had the most contagious smile and laugh; the list can go on and on.

As her king writes, grandma's favorite things to do was cooking my chorizo burritos, my dad's chili rellenos, baking, going shopping at the dollar store, and most of all taking care of all of us. I hope my grandma will rest in peace, now in the gates of heaven. Maria also loved bingo, casinos, and being outdoors, her coffee, dancing, Spanish music, and love to work. Maria held many different jobs titles, including having her own restaurant and bakery shop in Silver City. She would always say her best job was working with her son at Premiere home furnishings. 

Growing up in Santa Clara, Maria comes from a huge family. She will be greatly missed by many, many family, friends, and by all those whose heart she touched. Maria left us with tons of beautiful memories, she lived a great life. Maria is preceded in passing by her parents, Alvaro and Carlota Rivera; brother, Raul Rivera; niece, Lizzie Rivera and ex-husband, Daniel Sapien.

Maria is survived by her two Sons and daughter in law, Danny Sapien, Justina Hacker, Johnny Sapien; grandchildren. Danny boy Sapien (her king), Josiah Garcia, 8 brothers; 3 sisters, and many many nieces, nephews, cousins, compas, comadres, and friends. Pallbearers will be Danny Sapien Jr. Rudy Rivera, Tera Rivera, George Rivera, Ramon Rivera, and Gabriel Rivera

Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022, beginning with a visitation at 9:00 a.m. at San Clemente Catholic Church with a rosary and mass to follow. A viewing will take place following the mass at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel at 11:15 a.m.
