Michael Jojola Obituary

Michael Joseph Jojola was born to Joseph and Darlene Jojola and was a member of the Pueblo of Isleta and the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. He lived, grew up and attended Blue Ridge Middle School in Pinetop, Arizona through his freshmen year, before moving to Isleta, New Mexico where he attended Menaul Preparatory School. He attended Central New Mexico Community College and Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute where he pursued his degree in Fire Science and Natural Resources. Michael was a member of Blue Ridge Christian Center in Pinetop, Arizona and attended Legacy Church in Albuquerque. Despite all of Michael's life challenges, he knew his salvation and strength came from Our Lord Jesus Christ. Michael was a loving son and brother, reserved, but witty and tried his best to help those around him, even strangers. He loved to fish, hunt, shoot hoops, cook, and had a "green thumb", especially for growing sunflowers. More recently, Michael was trying his best to learn how to play the keyboard and perform a concert for his mom. He also had a growing interest in drawing and painting. We thank God for the time He gave us with our loving son, Michael. His life with us will be cherished for the rest of our lives and he will live forever in our hearts until we someday join him and his brother in Heaven. Michael is now rejoicing in the Heavenlies with his Brother Daniel who he missed everyday, and now they will be together for all eternity with their Almighty God and Jesus Christ, Their Lord and Savior. Amen. Mom and Dad love you son.

Michael is survived by his Mother, Darlene Reid Jojola, Father, Joseph R. Jojola, Brother Joseph Jojola, Jr., Aunt Mary Ann Lente, Aunt Edwina Jiron, both of Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico; Uncle (Grandpa) Garrison (Kayo) Tahmahkera, of Tempe, Arizona, Uncle Marvin (Keywolf) Tahmahkera of Chandler Arizona, Aunt Marsha Reid Kelly of Anadarko, Oklahoma, and Aunt Arlene Reid Schroeder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and many cousins, families, and friends.
