Mike Silva Obituary

Mike Silva, age 82, a resident of Los Chavez, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was a born-again believer since 1976 and Evangelist Teacher.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Miguel Silva, who was of the Silva Orchestra. His mother, Maggie Silva; sister, Dolores "Dodo" Romero; and his step-grandson, Mohamed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Stella; sisters, Marcella Pandazis and Loretta (Darryle) Dew; in-laws, Joe & Jane Cordova, and Gilbert Rael; Step-daughters, Leslie, Deanna Daughters; Dawn, Debbie and Deidre; niece and spiritual daughter, Delora; granddaughters, Danielle and Shauntee; grandsons, DeSean, Tralon, Dylan, Trenton, Aidyn, Brian, and Christopher; his great-grandchildren Miles, Layne, Charlotte, Aspyn, and Casper. Mike also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mike's greatest joy was sharing the Gospel and giving people pamphlets of Ministry. He enjoyed his and Stella's outings, adventures, family functions, and good ole' revival meetings and bible studies.

He had a childlike personality and had fun with his grandchildren. One of his greatest, and by far his favorite hobbies, was playing his saxophone. He played his sax for the Lord and his Glory alone. He'd play at churches, family functions, birthday parties, community events, and funerals. He blessed everyone with his talents and the emotion that the music brought.

Mike played his music in the Navy, his family orchestra, the "Silva Orchestra," "Main Attraction Band," the "Latin Pacer Band," and for the "Braves" with New Mexico Artist "Roberto Griego," as well as the "Belen Community Band."

Mike was always available to pray with anyone when needed.

He took great pleasure in riding his motorcycle, swimming, and having lunch at the Senior Center. He loved watching baseball and cheering for his Dallas Cowboys.

Before his later years, Mike proudly served in the Navy and traveled the world. He worked at Linkered Semiens, as a Belen bus driver, and had a long career as an appliance repairman.

Mike's legacy will live on and his family hopes that everyone will continue to enjoy his music and read the word at www.endtimeword.com as well as on Youtube.
