Nancy Jo (Uphoff) Bishop

Nancy J. Bishop, beloved Wife, Mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5,
2026, at the age of 83.
Born on August 19, 1942, in Lubbock, TX, Nancy spent her early years growing up in
Englewood, where she graduated from Englewood High School. She later attended
Colorado State University, a place that would forever shape the course of her life.
While attending college, Nancy met the love of her life, Kenneth D. Bishop, whom she
married on May 4, 1963. Their love story blossomed into a life filled with love and
many adventures, while, together, they built a life filled with devotion to their family,
many friendships, and cherished memories.
Growing up Nancy spent most of her summer vacations on her Grandparents farm in
Stoneham CO where she enjoyed every moment with her grandparents as well the
extended family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins. She shared many funny stories of the
Aunts and their determined and head strong ways. Nancy inherited her strength,
resilience, humor and great sense of family values during those summers.
Nancy loved her family, and throughout her life they remained her greatest focus. She made
sure every holiday was filled with the warmth of baking cherished family recipes, and every
lesson or idea about life was shared through heartfelt conversations. She guided her daughters
toward careers they have excelled at, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and encouragement
along the way.
Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warmth, and the deep love she
shared with those around her. Her presence brought comfort and joy to family and
friends alike, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Nancy supported different cancer research organizations, but she had a personal
connection with the family of Austin Denton. In lieu of flowers she would be honored
