Onesimo "Onie" Sisneroz Jr., a long-time resident of Abo, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the age of 71.
Onesimo was born on December 27, 1953, at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico, to the late Onesimo Sr. and Rafaela Sisneroz. He was baptized Roman Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Onesimo Sr. and Rafaela Sisneroz; his brother, Tony Sisneroz; daughter, Angela Sisneroz; and his nephew, Felix Romero.
Onesimo is survived by his children: Jason Sisneroz and wife, Liz, of New Mexico; Xavier Sisneroz and wife, Angela, of Phoenix, Arizona; and daughter, Ericka Sisneroz of Phoenix, Arizona.
He is also survived by his brother, Peter Sisneroz, and wife, Janet; sisters, Mary Lou Sisneroz, of Mountainair, New Mexico; and Ann Romero and Joann Bitner of Mountainair, New Mexico.
Onesimo was a beloved grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his 6 nephews, 5 of which were always with him, Jeremy, Onesimo, and Xavier Romero, and Peter and Adam Sisneroz; he also leaves behind 1 niece.
Services will take place at a later date.
