Patricia Chavez Obituary
Patricia "Patsy" Chavez passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by her family. Patsy was born on July 8, 1959, in Socorro, New Mexico, to Antonia and Leonardo Chavez.
It is hard to know where to begin to honor her, but all who knew her know that a beautiful soul was called home. Patsy had a heart of gold. This beautiful lady was full of life and loved by everyone. She was a true people person who opened her home to anyone and everyone, always making sure everyone was well-fed and taken care of. Patsy worked hard her whole life as a housekeeper, caretaker, and babysitter. Most of all, she loved taking care of people and was always smiling. She was truly one of a kind and the best mother and grandmother any of us could have asked for. You will forever be missed; may your beautiful soul rest easy.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Antonia and Leonardo Chavez; her brothers, Hector, Estevan, and Placido Chavez; and her sisters, Dolores "Lola" Baldonado, Elosia Chavez Adete, and Mary Lou Giron.
She is survived by her brother, Tomas Chavez; and her children, Adela Chavez, Paul Anthony Baldonado, Martin Estrada, David Chavez (and partner Bridget Ulibarri), and Tommy Chavez. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Brandon Chavez, Star Burgos (and partner Michael Greenwood), Angelica Estrada, Shyla Burgos (and partner Eduardo "Lalo" Valles), Kyara Talavera, Martin Estrada Jr., and David Chavez Jr.; as well as her great-grandchildren, Mya, Ariellia Talavera, Jessiah Estrada, Layla Valles, Kenzie Greenwood, Jaylani Scott, Michael Greenwood, and Aria Ware.
Private services for Patricia will take place at a later date.
