Rick McElroy (Damit), age 61, a resident of Los Lunas, NM., passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at home with family by his side. Rick was a loving and caring man, with an awesome sense of humor; he was quite the jokester and sarcastic at times. He enjoyed fishing, going for a nice ride on the motorcycle and going to the casino. Rick was passionate about helping others, he always wanted to give everyone a reason to laugh and smile. Rick was a proud father, son and friend. He was a true family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always knew how to brighten anyone's day. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Rick is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne McElroy; sister, Janice Treharn and 2 grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Harkleroad; daughters, Brandi, Nicole, Amber and Ashley McElroy; grandchildren, Azaela McElroy and Braedyn Moreno; brother, Jamie McElroy; sister, Kaye Rawlins; best friend, Leroy Hawk and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at 421 s. 11th St. Belen, New Mexico 87002.
