Rosie Luna, age 93, was embraced by the Lord and entered into eternal life on Sunday May 29th, 2022. She was born in Santa Rosa, NM, a resident of Albuquerque. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, caring grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt & friend to many.
Rosie was a kind, loving, generous and a strong mother who spread her faith throughout her family & anyone she was around. She loved the Lord with her entire heart and devoted herself everyday to her faith. She selflessly made her family her sole focus and she worried over them and took care of them until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. She most importantly loved spending time with family & talking about the Lord, she was always ready to reach her hand out to offer prayers for someone.
She was excemptually generous and one of the friendliest people anyone has ever met. She had such a kind and humorous spirit, a fantastic sense of humor and a beautiful laugh and smile! She was the Godly Matriarch of her family and was often seen as the cornerstone of her family. She worshipped God with all her heart until the very end. She had an infectious joy for life, especially with music and dancing. She loved listening to religious music.
Rosie will be desperately missed by all those she left behind. There was no one that met Rosie that didn't love her, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Our hearts are broken by the loss of this remarkable woman of God and I know we will see her again. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
She was preceded by her husband of 50 years, Adolfo Luna, her two sons Jim Luna and Louis Luna, her parents Pablo & Bertha Griego and four siblings, brothers Charlie Griego & George Griego, sisters Nancy Sena & Annie Romero, whom she missed very much.
She is survived by her three loving children Ronald Luna, Richard Luna (Martha) & Florence Luna; her nine precious grandchildren Josh Vargas (Sofia), Candace Vargas, Zachary Gomez (Shealynn), Eli Luna, Jessica Luna, James Luna & Cody Luna (Rachel); and her ten dearly loved great grandchildren Zachary, Leyah, Jaxson, Sophia, Max, Leo, Oliver, Avery, Natalie and Sophia.
She is also survived by her three brothers Jimmy Griego (wife Gloria), Pablo Griego (wife Sophie), Orlando Garcia (wife Priscilla), and one sister Erlinda Sandoval, all from Santa Rosa. She has many nieces, nephews and cousins who meant so much to her, along with other family members and friends she met throughout her life.
Her faith was unwavering, believing without seeing, trusting in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Pure and simple Devotion to Jesus Christ son of God, through the Holy Spirit and by the Grace of God. She prayed that her family live long, strong, healthy and happy lives. May her family have Strength, Courage and Wisdom.
