Sandra Lee (Marquez) Urias

Sandra Lee Urias, a beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2025.


Sandra was born on January 29, 1961 to Liberato "Libby" Marquez and Mary Frances (Garcia) Marquez who proceed her in death. Sandra is also proceeded in death by her granddaughter Dynasty Ramona Urias (April 24, 2007).


Sandra graduated from Los Lunas High School where she met the love of her life and her best friend, Edward Urias. They were married on September 1, 1979.


Sandra was a lifelong devout Catholic and loved the Lord. She was loving, caring, kind-hearted, compassionate, and welcomed everyone. She was a loving "Nana" who adored her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, the joy she brought to everyone's lives, her sense of humor, her patience and the love and warmth she shared with everyone she knew.


Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Edward Urias. Children: Jason Urias (Veronica), Marcus Urias (Nicole) and Krystle Moya (Christin "CJ"). Grandchildren, Zoey Urias, Aiden Urias, Ian Urias, Evan Moya, Chase Moya, Anthony Urias and Jackson Moya. Sisters: Anna Garcia (Richard), Jane Doggans (Ivan) and Irene Chavez (Anthony). Honorary Family Members: Brian Cavazos-Galvez (Leigh & son Ezekiel), Maria Baca (Jesse), Theresa Candelaria (Antonio), Kenny Vigil (Alex), Samuel Garcia (Yvonne). Sandra is also survived by several Godchildren, nieces, nephews aunts, uncles, cousins, and in laws whom she loved dearly.


Sandra was a devoted pet owner who cherished her dogs, (some may say more than her own children). Her dogs brought so much joy and love into her life. Sandra's "babies" were her constant companions and were loved, cared for and fed well. She loved to pamper her pups and feed them their favorite treats - Vienna sausages. Family and friends will fondly remember the unconditional love and companionship that her dogs brought into her life

A visitation, rosary and mass will be held for Sandra Lee Urias on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (3674 NM-47, Peralta, NM 87042.). Reception to immediately follow. Final burial services will be held at a later date. Urn-bearers will be Zoey Urias and Aiden Urias.


Sandra will live on in our cherished memories, the wonderful deeds of kindness and compassion she bestowed on others, and in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. May her eternal soul rest in peace.
