Shirley Ann Haselby (Hoke), 76, of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, was born on July 4, 1949, to Russ and Bennie Hoke. Shirley passed away on June 30, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Shirley spent her childhood and formative years in Alamogordo, where she attended Alamogordo High School. Although she called many places home throughout her life, the mountains of Cloudcroft always held a special place in her heart. She cherished the beauty, peace, and close-knit community of the mountain town she loved so dearly.
Shirley had a deep appreciation for music and especially enjoyed playing the guitar. She also had a remarkable talent for thrift shopping, taking great joy in discovering hidden treasures and finding exceptional bargains. Her enthusiasm for finding unique gems brought her happiness and created many cherished memories with family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Bennie Hoke; her brother, Robert Sandoval; her sister, Veronica Lopez; and her son, Chris Cash.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Neale and Diana Sanchez; her children, Eric Haselby and his wife, Jennifer; Jessica Haselby and her husband, Carlos Martinez; Jennifer Foust and her husband, Art; Miranda Haselby, and Mark Cash. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Brooke, Mikayla, Levi, Morgan, Emma, Delainy, Gavin, Leah, Kenneth, Kasey, Nick, Kennedy, Oliver, and Jasmine, Colin, and Kenneth, Courtney and Carson.
Shirley will be remembered for her love of family, her appreciation for music and the mountains, and the warmth and joy she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held later this year in Texas with her extended family. Additional details will be shared by the family at a later date.
