Stephen Shepherd Obituary


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen (Steve) Vane

Shepherd who left this world on February 25, 2025. Born on February 3, 1943 in Lima,

Ohio he lived a full life of love, humor and excitement.

For 57 years he was the beloved husband of Shirley who he met while attending the

Ohio State University. Their marriage was a true testament to partnership and devotion.

They were married September 2, 1967.

Steve was the proud father of two sons: Stephen Andrew (Andy), Wife Sheri, Denver,

CO , and Bryan Patrick, Delray Beach, FL and two grandchildren: Ian Andrew and

Rylee Ann who have brought him endless joy and pride,

He was preceded in death by his adored mother, Helen, (DOD 1998) and father J. Vane

Shepherd (DOD 2002)

Steve was an automobile, motorcycle and airplane enthusiast. He owned, operated,

maintained and rebuilt all of the above. He was a member of EAA (Experimental

Airplane Association), SWPC(Short Wing Piper Club), Quiet Birds, Austin Healey Club.

And BAOA (British Automobile Owners Association).

Though he is no longer with us, the memories and love he shared will remain in our

hearts forever. Please share memories with us.
