In Loving Memory of Steven "Stevie" Marshall
September 29, 1971- June 7, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Stevie, who left us on June 7, 2025, at the age of 53. Born in Belen, New Mexico, Stevie embodied loyalty, kindness, and dedication to his family. He selflessly cared for his elderly aunts and supported his loving sister Lisa through life's challenges. Stevie's strong work ethic and perseverance inspired everyone around him.
Stevie's life was marked by his generosity, empathy, and unwavering commitment to those he cared about. He was a generous friend with a profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity, curiosity, and a gregarious, outgoing nature. Stevie had a thoughtful mind, disarming wit, and an empathetic heart, with a rare gift of building community wherever he found himself.
Stevie is survived by his proud son, Steven Marshall Jr; sister, Lisa Marshall; and cousins, Mateo Luna, Jennifer Luna, Jonathan Rose, and Kelly Rose. He was predeceased by his mother, Marilyn (Susie) Marshall; aunts, Sarah Luna and Pauline Marshall; father, Salvador Martinez; grandparents, George Marshall and Ruby Marshall; and brother cousins, Ray and Sam Luna.
We take comfort in the memories of Stevie's bright smile, infectious laughter, and generous spirit. His love and compassion will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, dear Stevie. Your memory will be a blessing to us all.
In reflection, we find solace in the words of Matthew 5:4: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." and Revelation 21:4: "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying." A service will be held on August 19 1:00 pm at Calvary chapel. His final resting place will be with his mother and Aunt at Terrace Grove Cemetery following the service.
