Tomas Garcia Obituary
Tomas was born on December 29, 1935 in the town of Veguita, to Juan and Toribia Garcia. He grew up alongside his two sisters, Lovelia and Lorencita, in the New Mexico community that would always remain home to him.
Tomas proudly served in the United States Army before continuing his education and earning his master's degree from the University of New Mexico. He later moved to California with his beautiful wife, Barbara, and their three young sons, Thom, Robert, and Peter. There, he spent many years teaching U.S. history at West Valley Junior College before eventually retiring and returning to Belen, where he and Barbara enjoyed their remaining years together in the Land of Enchantment.
