Virginia S. Dominguez, age 74, a beloved resident of Belen, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1952, in La Costancia, New Mexico, to Max and Cris Sanchez.
Virginia was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a woman of remarkable strength and determination. She loved her family deeply and took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love was expressed not only through her words, but through the countless ways she cared for and supported those around her.
Virginia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking, yard sales, and spending time at the casino. She was never afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generosity, strong will, and willingness to help others were qualities that will forever remain a part of her legacy.
Above all, Virginia was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She held a strong belief in our Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Catholic Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength, comfort, and hope throughout her journey.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Cris Sanchez (Chappard); her sister, Geneva Padilla; and her niece, Yvette Padilla.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts: her son, Pat (Vicky); her daughter, Shelly (Andrew); her grandchildren, Charles, Anthony, and Damian; and her great-grandchildren, Gage, A.J., Bryan, Madison, and Adelaide.
Virginia's passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her. Her strength, compassion, faith, and unwavering love for her family will not be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she gave will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.
